Cinnamon Rolls from Brown Roll (Okinawa City) Sell Out Every Day! Try It and You’ll Be Hooked!
Are you like me and you can’t turn down something that looks delicious? Even when on a diet?
I heard people talking about “these cinnamon rolls that are so popular that they sell out every day”. So I found the shop, Brown Roll, which opened in Okinawa City on May 16, 2018. Brown Roll is open from 8 o’clock every morning and they specialize in cinnamon rolls. People begin to gather by their door before they open for business, and there are regular customers who come by every day, and other fans who buy huge loads of cinnamon rolls every time they come. Many say, “Since I had the cinnamon rolls here, I can’t eat cinnamon rolls from anywhere else.”
Fluffy and chewy, the cinnamon rolls from Brown Rolls are “left at low heat for a long period of time to rise, that’s why the texture is like that,” says Tommy, who runs the store. He says his goal is to make the amazing cinnamon rolls that he had on a US military installation which blew his mind. His ideal cinnamon rolls is big, with plenty of frosting, and with a strong presence of cinnamon scent.
Tommy says he always enjoyed making cinnamon rolls as a hobby. His creations were popular among friends and acquaintances, and they always said, “Open up a shop so we can enjoy them whenever we want”, and so he decided to do just that. He opened his shop in the area he was born and spent his childhood.
The cinnamon rolls at Brown Roll are available for \380 each. You can add chocolate chips, colorful chocolate spray, hazel nuts, almonds, marshmallows and other yummy toppings.
The cinnamon roll in the photo above has macadamia nuts sprinkled on top. The great texture of the macadamia nuts and its aroma went great with the delicious rolls with the frosting which was invitingly melting down the edges. The chewy texture of the dough and the aroma of the cinnamon generously blended in took me to paradise.
You might want to use a fork and knife to keep your fingers from getting sticky.
You can enjoy the cinnamon rolls in-shop or take them to go. If you take them home with you, Tommy recommends that you place it in the toaster oven for two minutes to enjoy a fresh out of the oven taste.
Why don’t you start your diet next week, and drop by the shop to pick up the cinnamon rolls that everyone’s talking about?
