Situated on a small hill in Kitanakagusuku Village is Ploughman’s Lunch Bakery, a bakery café that’s also very popular among the locals. The baked goods that line the counters inside are often sold out by the afternoon. This popular spot is open from 8:00. A perfect stop before you start your day of enjoying the sights around Okinawa.



The menu item shown below includes an open sandwich with a generous portion of avocado, potage soup with carrots and tomatoes, and a salad. The fresh and colorful veggies are sure to stimulate your appetite, and the bread is nice and chewy, and very satisfying. Last on our list is C&C BREAKFAST OKINAWA, located just by the Makishi Public Market (which is currently under construction. They offer a great lineup of yummy breakfasts including pancakes, eggs benedict, omelet with lots of ingredients, and others that will definitely start your day on the right foot. They’re open from 9:00 on weekdays and from 8:00 on the weekends and holidays. They get pretty busy from the early hours, especially on the weekends.



For those of you who enjoy light breakfasts, then we recommend their acai bowl. Even if you haven’t tried it yet, many of you interested in beauty care and diet must have heard about the miracle fruit, acai. Acai is rich in anthocyanin, polyphenol, vitamins B, C, E, and has high fiber and iron content. Don’t skip the opportunity to try their acai-packed Acai Bowl!
