36th Ginowan Hagoromo Festival

Every August the Ginowan Hagoromo Festival is held. During the event, there is a Hagoromo rock paper scissors competition, dancing the representative dance of Okinawa “Kachashi”, an impressive performance of the traditional Okinawan performing art eisa with taiko drums and there is even live musical performances and fireworks! Seeing fireworks during a summer night on the Okinawan seashore is special.
