Very Comfortable With the Concept of “Not Like a Noodle Shop”! A Ramen Noodle Shop in the Town of Base “Stripe Noodles”

In Chatan Town, a resort area which is popular among American military personnel and their families as well as young people, a ramen noodle shop “Stripe Noodles” opened in spring, 2013.
This is the first shop produced by a ramen shop in Tokyo called “Soranoiro,” which became famous for vegan vegetable soba noodles, which is made only by botanical ingredients.
Since usually you see Chinese character names for shops such as一風堂, 大勝軒, etc., the English name for this shop is unique. The appearance, the interior, the menu items, and the owner, all of which fall short of expectations in a good way. But that is Okinawa.
The logo “Stripe Noodles” in red is placed on the solid silver. The appearance reminds me of a hair salon, but I got excited by the unexpected appearance. When I opened the door, even more unexpected interior design welcomed me with a comfortable feeling of strangeness.
To the left of the entrance is a bar counter with a bright contrast of black and green.
Since this is in the southern island of Okinawa, Mojito with good taste of lime and Daiquiri look fabulous on this counter.
And a recommended table is at the window, where you can sit side by side to look down on the street and enjoy the world only for two of you.
In the back of the shop is a chic space where works of modern art are decorated.
There is a spacious room between tables, so you can enjoy a relaxed, luxurious time sitting comfortably on the sofa without worrying about neighbors.
The popular menu items are Steak Ramen and Tomato Vegetable Soba.
The shop has a variety of side menu items to go with beer or cocktail before eating ramen.
The best recommended side dish is Spicy Cheese Gyoza (dumpling) (500 yen).
Deep-fried dumplings topped with plenty of melting cheese are served with salsa sauce. Marriage of Latin American flavor and Chinese flavor creates a very good taste!
The second popular one is Hot Sesame Cucumber (400 yen) and Spicy Bean Sprout (250 yen). If you order a combination of the two dishes, it costs just 550 yen.
This is the Steak Ramen (980 yen for M size), which everybody is talking about.
The savory flavor of steak freshly, carefully sizzled every time an order is placed and the soup with the base of seafood and hot herb make a perfect combination.
The Stripe Noodles uses CAB, Certified Augus Beef, which is a famous beef among all the American brand beef. It is a precious meat with a perfect balance of lean meat and fat content, and the Stripe Noodles uses the first class beef which is only a fourth certified of CAB.
This is another popular menu, Special Tomato Vegetable Soba Noodle (900 yen).
They use tomato paste and paprika for the noodle, plenty of tomato puree for the soup and chicken breast cooked at a low temperature, fresh vegetables including mini tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, paprika, etc. for topping. So you can enjoy a healthy flavor as if you were eating a soup salad.
About 80 to 90% of customers are American. Their English conversations are mixed with BGM, which creates an international atmosphere. This atmosphere is unique to the central area of Okinawa. Please enjoy the exotic ramen experience that you cannot have in any other shops.
