Ikei Island, Pottery of the shining star on the night sky, "Star Festival, Star Exhibition.

"Gallery Haraiso" is located on Akebono, Ishikawa, Uruma-city where ocean viewable dependent houses are. Especially for tourists, it is popular craft shop where crafts of 11 local Uruma-city craftsmen are available and exhibited.



A personal exhibition called "Star Festival, Star Pottery" of Nana Akimoto, one of the local craftsmen, started on 7th of July. Nana Akimoto is a popular craftsman among fans in/out of Okinawa, who has awarded "Okiten" artists competition. Translucent blue-colored potteries are made by the her sense of food photographer that she used to be. Vivid-colored plate reminds me of variety of colored fresh salad and tropical fruits.



Ms. Akimoto is an unparalleled fan of goat. She never misses taking photos every time she find goats. Each one of hand-drawn pottery shows different face. And each one mesmerizing you.



Pink potteries reminds you of pieces of cherry blossoms are fluttering. They soon fly to the customers like cherry blossoms. 



Her first personal exhibition will be held at Uruma-city where is her hometown, that's what she wanted. That's the reason Haraiso was chosen. "Star Sand series" is prepared to unveil. It images stars on the night sky of Ikei island where her grand mother used to live. 



Ikei island is quiet at night time unlike day time. If the sky is clear, it is wonderful starry sky in front of you. It's natural planetarium!
