The Easiest Access to Illumination in the Southern Island♡ Just By Kokusai Street!

One of the common winter features in Okinawa is illumination.
Everywhere in Okinawa is veiled in dreamy lights from Christmas to New Year holidays.

Among all the illumination displays, “Kumoji Illumination,” which is held around the “Kencho Mae” Station for a monorail called “Yui Rail” in the downtown Naha area, is the most convenient event for tourists staying in Naha!  It is within the walking distance from Kokusai Shopping Street.

Mainly around “Department Store Ryubo,” buildings and street trees are decorated with gorgeous LED lights of red, blue, yellow, green, etc. from the west end of Kokusai-dori Street to Kumoji Crossing Area.

The most eye-catching decoration is the Christmas Tree!  The about 8m-tall, symbolic monument attracts not only tourists but also local students, families, and couples.  Just watching people come and go for taking pictures of the fantastic Christmas tree with their bright smiles makes you happy. ♡

In addition, if you put your smartphone toward the Christmas Tree, “snow” starts falling on your screen!  This lovely, witty service is available at three places: at the Christmas Tree, at the front entrance display of “Ryubo Store” and at the back arch of the fountain at the front entrance.

Please download a dedicated application from the website to enjoy “White Christmas.”
(The website is written in Japanese, so please ask your Japanese friend for help.)

After shopping or dinner, or on the way to the airport, why don’t you stop by there?
I am sure it will cheer you up and make you smile! ☆
